Future Ready Institutes, sometimes referred to as FRIs, are just one of the options of School Choice provided by Hamilton County Schools.
aThe Institute of Architecture and Engineering Design at Harrison Bay Center teaches students how to design, model, draw and build projects for different engineering disciplines. The students will use current technology and apply industry standards to their designs. This institute is partnered with Terracon, the Chattanooga State TCAT Center, and other companies to give students opportunities to explore career opportunities and gain real-world application for their new skills. Whether it is drafting software, 3D printing, or other manufacturing techniques, this institute lays a strong foundation for students going to college, building their employability skills, or entering the workforce.

Institute of Advanced Manufacturing
The Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Construction at Harrison Bay Center is for students interested in the diverse fields of welding, manufacturing, and construction. Beginning in their freshman year, the institute prepares students with the 21st-century skills needed to fill these positions. The institute has partnered with many manufacturers in the Chattanooga area to enhance students’ learning experiences and to bring real-world issues and workplace situations into the classroom. These partners include Gestamp, Miller Industries, and greenspaces. With the help of our partners, students have the opportunity to receive Industry Certifications relevant to their future.
