A New Era for Career Exploration in Hamilton County Schools
Located at the historic Golden Gateway Campus, Downtown Chattanooga
Opening Fall 2026: A Center for Hands-On Career Discovery
With the recent acquisition of the Golden Gateway Campus—nestled at the foot of Cameron Hill in the heart of downtown Chattanooga—Hamilton County Schools is proud to announce the opening of its third Future Ready Center, launching for the 2026–27 school year.
This innovative center will serve as a centralized Career Exploration space for elementary and middle school students and house Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways for high schoolers. Designed as a dynamic hub of opportunity and access, the Franklin-Roberts Future Ready Center is a bold step forward in preparing students for success in the future workforce.
In Collaboration with the Community
In Summer 2025, the Franklin-Roberts initiative is being shaped in close collaboration with the newly formed Mayor’s Council for Future Ready Youth, launched by Mayor Wamp’s administration. This task force—comprising business leaders, educators, and civic partners—is charged with reimagining career preparation and aligning public education with the evolving needs of Chattanooga’s economy.
The Council’s mission includes expanding access to career pathways, strengthening partnerships between schools and industry, and ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in both college and career. Their work is foundational to the design and programming of Franklin-Roberts and will directly influence the opportunities available to students.
